- Check to be sure all circuit breakers or fuses are working
properly, be sure there is no sign of rust anywhere on your electrical
panel.
- Check to be sure all smoke detection and fire detection systems
are properly running and all batteries are properly installed.
- Check to be sure all kitchen and bathroom outlets are GFCI
protected.
- Check and test all GFCI plugs or breakers per manufacturer
recommendations.
- Check all outside security lighting to be sure of proper
illumination.
- Check to be sure all home computers are on properly grounded
circuits.
- Be sure all important electronic equipment has surge suppression
including internet and telephone lines.
- Be sure the proper size light bulbs are installed in lighting
fixtures.
